Reyna Berroa, BS, RRT, Manager, Respiratory Care


Reyna Berroa, is the manager of the Respiratory Care Department at HackensackUMC. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. Reyna has served as a registered respiratory therapist for 22 years. She is credentialed through the National Board of Respiratory Care and is also a member of the American Association of Respiratory Care. A dedicated team member of HackensackUMC for seven years, she has specialized in the care and treatment of premature infants and has spent most of her time in the intensive care units. Reyna advanced from a staff position to day shift supervisor prior to assuming her current role as manager of the Respiratory Care Department in 2015. 
Before joining HackensackUMC, Reyna held positions at Montefiore Medical Center, Sloan Kettering Medical Center, and St. Vincent’s Medical Center. While Reyna’s main passion is in respiratory care, she is also an ardent teacher. As such, she has served as an adjunct faculty member at New York University and Bergen Community College. Her long-term career plans are to continue her education and complete her Master's Degree in Administrative Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
