Ramonita Jimenez, DNP, MPA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, Administrator, Patient Care Services; Inpatient Surgical, Medical and Oncology Units; Float Pool, Staffing Office, Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Alternate Care Sites
Dr. Ramonita Jimenez is responsible for the overall nursing scope of practice and services, the nursing resource center, oversight of administrative supervisors, and the surgical, medical and oncology inpatient units. Dr. Jimenez holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers’s University, a master’s degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Doctoral degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) College of Nursing.
Dr. Jimenez has led and actively participated in several initiatives including Magnet re-designation and collaboration with nurse managers to ensure hospital compliance with Joint Commission standards for inpatient surgical units. In addition, she has served as a member of the joint replacement team recognized by The Joint Commission in 2011 for having perfect reports. Dr. Jimenez partnered on pilot programs involving Service Excellence, Service Recovery and an employee point reward system.
Board-certified in Nursing Administration and a member of the New Jersey Organization of Nurse Executives, Dr. Jimenez is actively involved in community service and volunteers in her church as a media specialist and small group facilitator. Dr. Jimenez is a two-time recipient of the Michael W. Azzara Scholarship (2005 and 2009). She was honored to receive the Tribute to Women & INdustry (TWIN) Award, presented by the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Bergen County. In 2014, Dr. Jimenez was recognized by the Institute for Nursing with the Don & Diva Award. She has also been recognized as a Most Valuable Team Member for reflecting the vision, value and mission of HackensackUMC and is a two-time recipient of the HackensackUMC Helmsman Award for demonstrated leadership ability.
