Linda Stanton began her career at HackensackUMC in 1978, working in General Pediatrics as a staff nurse.  She then joined the pediatric hematology/oncology program when it migrated from Mt. Sinai in 1986. A year later, she was promoted to the position of nurse manager. In 1992, she was instrumental in opening the Pediatric Special Care Unit, which has expanded to a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). In 1995, she returned to Pediatric Oncology, but as nurse manager of the Outpatient Department. She held that position for 10 years, advancing to the position she currently holds, administrator for Hematology/Oncology and Critical Care Services for the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC. 
 
As administrator, she is responsible for the operational and fiscal growth of the Institute for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders, which includes New Jersey’s only Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant program, the Pediatric Emergency Department and Children’s Hospital Disaster Preparedness, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Children’s Hospital Palliative Care Service, and the associated faculty practices for these programs. 
 
Ms. Stanton completed her Master of Business Administration degree in Leadership from Seton Hall University in 2009, and recently achieved Nurse Executive Certification. In 2012, Mrs. Stanton was honored with the Tribute to Women in INdustry (TWIN) Award.  She is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE).
